Room 303; Friday Afternoon [02/21].
Prompto was not sulking; he wasn't moping; he wasn't--
---aww, hell. He probably wasn't fooling anyone. He knew he probably shouldn't be sulking about the whole picture thing, but he kind of couldn't help it. And, okay, okay, maybe some of the attention the party pictures were getting on social media were a bit of an ego boost, he had to admit, but it didn't really account for much when he considered the boyos definitely would have seen it and none of them were saying anything, and that was almost worse that them just making fun of him for it or whatever. He tried to convince himself that, hey, maybe that meant they actually hadn't seen it, maybe they'd been too busy or it got lost in the social media shuffle, but it seemed pretty unlikely.
The whole thing was making him feel kind of lethargic and blah that day. Like, he went for his run, like usual, but it was a rough one, he didn't have the motivation, and he even hit the gym and the range afterwards, too, but the spark just wasn't there. So he went back to the room, plopped on his bed, rolled over, and just laid there, staring at the ceiling, with one arm and one leg draped over the side of the bed in a position that probably didn't look very comfortable at all yet surprisingly was, and just sighed.
But, hey, at least the spring break trip was coming up soon?
You know, the one to a nice tropical-sounding place where he'd be probably in a pool a lot, topless, reminding everyone about that party...
Prompto groaned, and stopped just staring at the ceiling, because you couldn't stare at a ceiling from underneath a pillow.
[[ door and post are open, yo! ]]

Radio was a blessing.
A blessing.
Nina ate an apple chip and waited to see if he'd throw a pillow at her or not. In his shoes, she would have.
no subject
Prompto wondered if Nina could see his pouting grimace through the pillow itself. It certainly felt strong enough to be pretty much noticed from space.
"I thought we said no pictures!" His voice emerged muffled from the pillow.
Well, he knew he said no pictures. He'd been desperately trying to remember what Nina said after that, but he couldn't remember, therefor was oblivious as to whether or not he'd truly been betrayed or just missed a clever Nina loophole.
no subject
Nina breezed into his room, nudging the door shut behind her with one socked foot, before meandering over to take a prim seat on his bed.
"You said no selfies," she said, still playing innocent, "and, like, I thought you meant no pictures of you solo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
And there hadn't been any of those.
Sure, there'd been pictures where he was the clear focal point but there'd been other people in those pictures!
The whole point of loopholes, after all, was to make them sound plausible!

"Niiinnaaaaaa," he whined, then sighed (in part for his own whining, in part for just his unfortunate lot in life), pulling the pillow down off his face onto his chest. "You know some of the guys follow your accounts! I mean, okay, fine, big deal if anyone here has to see that, I probably won't see most of these people again except for, like, homecomings and stuff, but I have to work with those guys!"
And the whole thing about them being, like, his best friends, but professional angle felt more concrete and inarguable.

She was kind of proud of herself for having found them. Sure, eating too many apple chips might give you a stomachache but, on the other hand, they were literally just dehydrated apples, which meant they were a lot healthier than... so, so many snack foods.
"I mean, like, Gladio liked your pictures," she said, since she'd seen that. And been a bit salty that Gladio hadn't said anything about her dress. Rude, Gladio. "That you're doing good work building your muscles and to keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That sounds like he's fine with working with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
no subject
But Prompto did accept an apple chin, shifting to sit up a little as he did.
"Still a pretty sneaky move, sis," he complained. "When it's super awkward next time I go home, I hope you're happy."
no subject
Nina was pretty sure Gladio liked almost everyone, pretty much, and if he didn't like you... you knew it.
"I am happy," she said, grinning a bit. "Come on, like, the one with your wings was actually a really good shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like, composition-wise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Nina was never going to be anywhere near as good about taking photos as he was, but she was kind of proud of that one.
no subject
But that was IT.
no subject
If she, like, had to.
no subject
Which had been weird, but also, he knew how hard he'd worked for that, so it was kind of empowering, too.
But mostly just embarrassing.
"But yes," he sat up more, putting his legs over the side of the bed, pushing aside the pillow, " ppease can we talk about something else?"
no subject
"I love you too, big brother," she said, and meant that. "Annnnnnnnnnnd, let's see, would I come bother you with something in miiiiiiiiiiiind or would I bother you for no reason????????????????"
Both, Nina. The answer was both.
no subject
He snorted. "And both are equally terrifying."
NFB, please!
"And what," she said, "if I told you that I know when Bus Dean's birthday is............???????????"
Re: NFB, please!
Re: NFB, please!
Re: NFB, please!
Even though he was half sure that even Noct hadn't really remembered. But he wasn't sure sometimes if Noct would remember his own birthday if it wasn't, you know, a huge thing because of him being the prince and everything.
"Also, I can't believe we still haven't used that thing, but maybe we just haven't used that thing yet because it was destined to be a birthday thing."
Re: NFB, please!
And Iggy struck Nina as someone who'd remember and hold a grudge for ages, should it suit him. Best not to risk that.
"And he won't expect it," Nina said happily, "because it won't be a start of the semester shenanigan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It'll be great!!!!!!!!!!! But, like, we need to start planning now because if we have to special order things in................"
Re: NFB, please!
He narrowed his eyes, tilting his head a little.
"You know," he ventured, "he did just move into the building right next to the animal shelter. I feel like we might be ablet o use that somehow."
Re: NFB, please!
And, look, a lot of animals were really, really dumb but adorable.
Re: NFB, please!
Re: NFB, please!
But now she wanted to do something with puppies... curse you, Prompto.
Re: NFB, please!
"I don't know," Prompto ventured, "I know for a fact Juliet would love it and it sounds like their vampire pup is pretty chill. Definitely some details to work out there, I'll allow that, but, like, when even is it? How much time do we have? Because, you know, genius is pretty hard to come by when you're working toward it. Maybe we just have to let inspiration strike at the right moment."
Re: NFB, please!
So, like, there was time.
"And, like, I'm not meaning to be all blah on your idea," she said, since she was being kind of a downer, despite herself, "I just got caught up on logistics.................. I'm sory..............."
Re: NFB, please!
"April?" he gawked at Nina slightly. "That's, like, ages from now, Nina!"
Though, he will admit, telling him about it now was good, because that gave him a chance to actually think about it, then maybe forget about it, and then think about it again fresh when she reminded him.
