OOC: An Unexpected Hiatus.

Hey, everyone.

So, just a few hours ago, I received the very shocking and unexpected news of my mother's passing. I am still definitely reeling from it, but after some thought, I've decided the best thing for me to do right now is take a break from the game so that I can focus on some self-care and working with my brothers through this. Since I'm really not sure how long I'm even going to need, I figured it was best to just shuffle all my characters off island for a little while instead of just going quiet or doing the animal route, even with how much I freaking love Fandom advent.

The run-down, because honestly having control over organizing something right now helps me feel at least a little bit better, even though they've all got pretty easy solutions for something like this:

Prompto's got some important Kingsglaive training he needs to attend to; Noctis was supposed to tell him, but only remembered once Ignis asked something about it, and therefor it's a bit sudden.

Sidon's got to head home to go be a good prince because Vah Ruta is acting up again and everyone's starting to get worried.

There's a bit of a fuss at the farm so bad Katy needed to call Wayne to go deal with it, so that's what he'll be attending to.

Rosa's being called in to take part in a special task force back in New York.

Amaya's been offered a spicy meatball of a job she can't afford to turn down back in Daventry for a while.

There's some trouble in Soul Society, so Shunsui's got to go, you know, actually do his job and be a captain and what have you for that weird Death God army he's a part of, what can you do?

Tisarwat's really the only one without obligations (since she can't get back to the Radch), so she'd going to get sucked into a Locker for the time being. Remember what that was a thing??? Anyone remember the actual locker number? 257 or something? IDK. Either way, she's definitely being sucked into a locker, it'll be super fun for her.

Not sure where I'm going to be feeling about Astrid's plot right now, considering the topics it deals with. Maybe it might even be cathartic, it's way too early to tell, so who knows with that.

Summer's been in What Do? limbo for a few weeks now, anyway, while I wait to see if her canon gives me something juicy to bring her back with, so I guess she'll just stay in What Do? limbo just a bit longer.

My apologies to the admin team for me ducking out on the last of Amaya and Rosa's classes; if anyone's interested in picking them up as substitutes, just shoot me a line, maybe we can work something out. If not, we'll just assume they canceled the rest of the lessons due to other obligations.

I'll be posting something in the radio comm for the other broadcasts if anyone's able to pick up my radio, too.

Friends and loved ones, please feel free to mod that these characters (with the exception of Tisarwat, since hers is unexpected) have contacted you and let you know what's up...unless you'd rather milk an unexpected absense for all its worth, which I am totally in support of. Whatever works best for you and yours (and apologies for whatever wrenches these absenses might throw into a few gears, plotty or emotional).

Thank you all for understanding and your support. As I start to kind of figure things out and wrap my head around this a bit better, I might be able to start slowly leaking back, but right now I think a break is really what's best for me so I can put all my love and attention and energy into this right now.
