The guys were totally going to give Prompto crap for the way he was moonily grinning at his phone right now, but he did NOT even care.

Of course, it may have been dawning on him all too late how awkward it might be to be around Hellboy after this weekend (especially since he could hardly keep his thought to himself around Abe), buuut....clearly, that's a bridge he'll deal with crossing once he got there.

Maybe he'll just kidnap the kittens and hide in a closet the whole time, that would be nice and safe, right?

Yeah, no, Prompto definitely didn't need that added detail on top of everything else, even if he did have to admit, that was pretty funny, a daemon liking ice cream.

Maybe I can bring some from here. I bet no one there has ever even HEARD of Kupoberry ice cream, much less had it before!

Liz was definitely going to be careful about the Hellboy topic because she had also realised that Abe would be able to sense the awkwardness and he would definitely comment about it. Hellboy definitely did not need to know that she had been pregnant with his twins for a few days.

It would be a while before the next response came in, because Noctis had made his way over and slumped down, exhausted from drills, next to Prompto and asked what had his attention so much, which lead to sharing the newborn kitten photos with him, and he had the audacity to say that kittens didn't start looking cute until they were a little older, they looked like aliens when they were newborn, and Gladio, drawn over by Prompto's offense, had to agree with Noct on that one, they looked like drowned rats. And Prompto was appalled that he could even be friends with such people, and Ignis refused to comment when he was called in for his opinion, and the conversation then shifted about the best way to keep ice cream safe when traveling through portals, and, somehow, none of them could tell you exactly how, but Gladio's weekend aversion to shirts came up, which of course meant he was losing his shirt now, and that got the attention of the Marshall who was now telling them to quit messing around....

Kupoberry it is, then! Prompto typed back hastily. LOoks like I gotta go, babe, the marshall's giving us the stink-eye. Back to the grind, I guess!
