Room 401; Thursday Morning [03/28].
Okay, okay, okay. So maybe Prompto was getting a little concerned over the fact that he was still a dog, but let's face it. The life of a puppy in this place was good. Like, real good. So while there was maybe a little disappointment that he woke up to face another day as a canine and not as his usual human self, he got over it really quickly, because he woke up all curled up and comfy with his girlfriend, and how could that not be awesome? It could be more awesome, yes, by not being a puppy, but, hey, beggers could not be choosers, he could not complain...
And he thought, after Machu Picchu yesterday, that he'd still be pretty exhausted for about a week, but he woke up that morning with the same puppy-energy he'd had every since he turned into this smaller bundle of energy, which meant he was very quick to shift a little so that he could wake Yang up with a few gentle nudges of his nose and good-morning snuggles that got increasingly excited because it was a new day, Yang! Yang, it was time to get up! Yang, they had to go get their jog on.
Congratulations, Yang. You were a miracle worker. You somehow managed to get Prompto to actually want to and look forward to his morning runs.
After puppy snuggles, of course. Those were an important and necessary precursor to any morning runs.
[[and I'm sure you all know where this is going. For that laaaaady and that other person who lives here, too, and room totes modded with permish, yo ]]

"Oh, good. It's annoying how you end up naked when transforming back. I've been an armadillo twice now, and ended up anked on the floor."
She poured a cup of tea and held it out to Prompto.
"You were a cute puppy, though."
That was teasing.

Who was being called cute by his girlfriend's cool, aloof roommate handing him tea while he had no clothes on.
Ughhhh, maybe changing back while they were at Machu Picchu yesterday would have been better, because then he could just throw himself right off the side of the damn mountain.
Pretty sure all those burning shades of red were spreading down to his otherwise probably blindingly pale chest by new, Prompto sheepishly reached out to take the mug and pulled it protectively closer as if that could cover all his embarrasment and shame and he ducked his head a little to blow on it in case it was still too hot to really drink right now when he himself felt like he was on fire from blushing.
"What's an armadillo?" he asked, in an effort to get his mind away from him being a cute puppy or Breq being naked on the floor, because, really, now, Breq, how was that detail helping anything?
no subject
She smiled. "I understand you are embarrassed, but there's really no reason to. I've seen enough people naked not to care."
no subject
He was a very sheltered young man, Breq, and he did appreciate your efforts to make him feel more comfortable, but, again, this was actually doing the opposite of helping.
"That's....cooooool," he said, once he cleared his throat and remembered how to swallow liquids. And he meant it, it was cool that she didn't care, but that didn't really get rid of the fact that he still did.
He was just going to keep focusing on that armadillo.
"I think," he offered, looking still very much not even anywhere near the vague direction of Breq, "I'd rather be a puppy than an armadillo by the sound of it, but rolling into a ball could be pretty neat."
no subject
"I'm sure Yang preferred you as a puppy. I've read that armadillos can also be disease vectors, but I think I avoided that."
no subject
But, yes, the armadillo was effectively distracting now. "Disease vectors?" he asked. "As in, like, they carry a bunch of diseases and spread them and stuff?"
How'd you end up with that gem of a totem, there, Breq? And did he really want to know?
no subject
"A puppy might be more fun," she added. "Did you have fun?"
