Room 401; Thursday Morning [03/28].
Okay, okay, okay. So maybe Prompto was getting a little concerned over the fact that he was still a dog, but let's face it. The life of a puppy in this place was good. Like, real good. So while there was maybe a little disappointment that he woke up to face another day as a canine and not as his usual human self, he got over it really quickly, because he woke up all curled up and comfy with his girlfriend, and how could that not be awesome? It could be more awesome, yes, by not being a puppy, but, hey, beggers could not be choosers, he could not complain...
And he thought, after Machu Picchu yesterday, that he'd still be pretty exhausted for about a week, but he woke up that morning with the same puppy-energy he'd had every since he turned into this smaller bundle of energy, which meant he was very quick to shift a little so that he could wake Yang up with a few gentle nudges of his nose and good-morning snuggles that got increasingly excited because it was a new day, Yang! Yang, it was time to get up! Yang, they had to go get their jog on.
Congratulations, Yang. You were a miracle worker. You somehow managed to get Prompto to actually want to and look forward to his morning runs.
After puppy snuggles, of course. Those were an important and necessary precursor to any morning runs.
[[and I'm sure you all know where this is going. For that laaaaady and that other person who lives here, too, and room totes modded with permish, yo ]]

...buuuut he supposed putting it toward snuggles was not a bad second option at all. In fact, it didn't take him long after a little nuzzle to decide that this was actually the much better option.
An hour of snuggle time? Alright, then, Yang, you drove a hard bargain, but Prompto accepted your terms and conditions
Which he nuzzled into with a contented little hum from the back of his throat, which was, oddly enough, the first indication he had that it might not be a wet, cold puppy nose nudging against Yang's chin right now, but rather his own very human one instead. He blinked a little in surprise over...everything just rushing to him in realization and then an overwhelming sense of complete and utter relief.
"Ohthankgod," he breathed out, thankful that he wasn't stuck a puppy. Thankful to be back to normal finally. Thankful that it hadn't happened somewhere in public, where he'd be...
...wait a second...
...not public, sure, but still...
"Uhhh..."
Well, this was...a little awkward, now, wasn't it?
Would it be...better?...or worse?...to move right now? When in doubt, obviously, just remain frozenly clinging to your girlfriend and hope she didn't notice you were buck-ass naked.
He...was not prepared for these sorts of things.
Although, really, he'd had an armful of his best friend buck-ass naked at one point in his life, so he really, really, really should have been.

...wait.
Please hold while Yang's brain attempts to boot up properly.
"Prompto? Babe?"
no subject
...almost.
"Sooooo, you know that thing you were saying yesterday about changing back any day now?" he asked.
"..ta-daaaaah."
That was a thoroughly unimpressive but definitely apologetic ta-daaaaah, there

Oh gods her dad would flip out. Which was why he was never ever going to know.

"Both, please," Prompto answered without even needing to think about it. "But probably in reverse order."
For your own good, Yang.

"I mean, if you're sure..." she teased, closing her eyes and placing one hand over them, while the other held out the top blanket for Prompto to steal. "Tell me when I can open my eyes again."
no subject
"Okay," he said, once he was a little more confident that he'd managed to scrap up at least a small bit of decency....which he was about to throw right back out the window. "Now what was that I heard about...what was it...welcome back kisses?"
Yup. Right. Out. That window.
no subject
THIS WAS A LOT OF SELF-RESTRAINT, OKAY?
"Welcome back kisses are totally on the menu," she replied, peeking through her fingers playfully once he gave the okay. "No shade on puppy-Prompto, but good kisses were severely lacking."
no subject
"That's fair," he allowed. "Puppy-Prompto's kisses were a damn mess. I've got my work cut out for me, to protect the good name of Prompto kisses the world over."
A reputation that extended to a whole...two people.

Eh, worth a shot. So, Prompto had a pouncing Yang, laughing as she claimed one of those kisses.
no subject
Needed to, really. Because they were actually hands again, no more literally just pawing at her now!

He wasn't the only one under-dressed, though, and Yang was careful not to jostle the blanket too much -- or her tank top, for that matter -- no matter how distracting the kissing was. And thank goodness she'd worn pajama pants to bed!
She might have had all the subtlety of a train wreck, but Yang wasn't stupid. She'd picked up on the fact that Prompto was self-conscious, and the last thing she wanted was to make him uncomfortable.
