The Apartment above the Photo Hut; Sunday Morning [08/03].

To say that Dink had slept like a rock last night would be pretty accurate, considering, well, he was a Goron! Rocks were kind of what they were made of! But when he woke up that morning, he couldn't help but notice just how uncomfortably soft the bed he was in was! With a long, drawn out groan, he all but rolled himself up to sitting, making a bit loud show of stretching out his arms and yawning, before one hand fell to the mattress and squished it down experimentally.

Huh. That was definitely different!

"Whoa!"

It was just then that he noticed someone else sleeping there, too! And that was possibly even more different.

"There's, like, a lady in this bed!"

Did he wake her? There was a good chance that his lack of voice modulation on his deep, affected drawl had already woken her up; Dink wasn't exactly the greatest at things like quiet or stealth. But he didn't want to disturb her any more than necessary, either, so he supposed it was time for him to try and just...see if he could sneak on out of there without her noticing too much, maybe? Maybe she was a deep sleeper! He'd just feel bad, waking her up like that and everything...

But now that he was up, he was getting hungry, and wondering if they had any good rocks around here before he went out to maybe find some rupees or grasshoppers in some grass or something...

Liz tended to sleep pretty light and then she thought she could hear someone talking but it didn't sound like Prompto, she stirred and then her eyes opened... "um...hi?" she said, blinking a little and wondering if maybe she wasn't as awake as she thought.

And here Dink had just been about to tuck in and try to roll out of the bed (because that was a stealthy way to do it!), but then the lady had woken up, and so he stopped, half-hunched, with his shoulders tucked up by his ears and then he let out a nervous, deep chuckle.

"Uhhhh," he said, and then brightened, giving her a big, broken-toothed grin and lifting a hand in a wave. "Hi! Uh, how's it goin'? I'm Dink! You, like, come here often?"

Wherever here was, anyway!

Liz blinked several times, realised that she was definitely awake and slowly returned the hand wave, "um...hi," she said, realising that it must be one of those Fandom weekends, "I'm ... I'm Liz, it's nice to meet you Dink, um ... you're in Fandom," she added, in case he had never been to Fandom before.

"Fandom?" Dink asked, head tilting slightly and blinking his bright blue eyes (the blue eyes and the spiky blonde hair, although poorly pulled back into as much as a ponytail as its sparsity would allow, at least, was somewhat familiar, maybe?), but then the confusion seemed to slip away entirely into an excited eagerness. "Oh, sick! You guys got good rocks here in Fandom?

"For eating, I mean," he clarified. "Not just for bashing. Although I wouldn't mind bashing some rocks, either! But I'm pretty hungry..."

As he spoke, his eyes were starting to roam around the room a little and he nodded approvingly. "Nice place you got here! Not really my style, but I dig it! Wait. Do you live here? Or did you just wind up here, like me? Man, I must have had some gnaaaarly Goronade last night, I don't remember anything!"

"Uh..." Liz was still staring, really hoping that this definitely was a weekend thing, but she couldn't help but notice the blue eyes and blond hair that seemed rather familiar, "there's the rocky bits?" she suggested, "you might find some good rocks out there, I mean I don't know how they taste though," she admitted.

"And I live here," she clarified, "its an apartment above a store called the Photo Hut, I live here with my husband and daughter," she added and paused, "um, what's the last thing you remember?" she asked, wanting to be able to help but not sure what she could do.

"Well, no," Dink gave her a bit of a grin, "of course you wouldn't! You're Hylian, right? Not sure many of you can actually eat rocks like we Gorons can! But, you know, it works out pretty well, because I can't really get much from all the stuff you all eat for food, either! And, uh....the last thing I remember....?"

He squinted, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "I guess that'd be waking up just now and trying not to wake you up! Sorry about that!"

"Oh ...I've never heard of Hylian or Goron before," Liz admitted, "I'm sure it won't be long before you're home," she said, hoping that in this case the weekends played out like how they had in the past.

"Oh, I'm not too worried about it," Dink said with a good-natured chuckle. "Sounds like a pretty sweet adventure! And that's what heroes do! So I'll just roll on out of here and leave you to your sleeping or your morning or whatever else you do! I mean..."

Those blue eyes twinkle excitedly. "Unless you've got a totally awesome side quest for me, brah!"

Liz smiled at that, at least he didn't seem to upset about being stuck and hopefully it wouldn't be long before Prompto came back, "well I think you'll find Fandom a pretty alright place to stay for the time being, I hope you find you're adventure," she told him, "I'm afraid I don't really have any awesome side quests," she said apologetically, "my daughter will be waking up soon," she added, wondering how she was going to explain this to Noctra if she happened to see Dink.

"Oh, then you'll probably be pretty busy, huh?" Dink realized. "I'll just go and get out of your hair then, and leave you to it! Sorry for what whole waking up in your house thing! I swear I don't do this often, but--"

He trailed off, blinking, as if he'd just be struck.

"Wait a minute! The Hero of Time is said to have woken up in a weird place with no memory of how he got here! And that's how he began is quest to defeat Calamity Ganon and save all of Hyrule! Am I..." He gasped, then looked at Liz with excited amazement, "am I about to go on a great quest to save this place??"

It would literally be his dream come true, Liz! To be a Hero of Time himself!

Liz smiled at that, not wanting to dampen his enthusiasm, "You know maybe that could be it," she encouraged, "Fandom is a rather unique place and sometimes things happen here where it does need saving," she suggested.

"Well, then, I gotta go!" Dink declared, practically bursting at the cracks with with his enthusiasm and excitement. He finally pushed himself out of the bed and immediately rolled himself into a ball and started to roll...

Right into the doorframe.

"Oof," he grunted, unrolling a little to rub his head a bit. "Bummer, man. I forgot it's real hard rolling through non-Goron doorways!"

He was getting up , though, to go through it by walking, but even then, it was going to be a tight fit!

But, before he did, he turned to grin and wave goodbye. "Thanks, Liz!" he said. "It was nice meeting you! Wish me luck! And tell your daughter I said hi!"
