Prompto had been planning for this thing for a while and it was finally time for all his hard work to come to fruition! Nestled among dozens of other similar houses on a quiet residential street, the Argentum house was usually unremarkable, just one among many typical ~~Tokyo~~ Insomnian homes. But today? Oh, today was definitely different! There would be no mistaking which house was Prompto and Nina's! Pink, yellow, and blue balloons were tied to the mailbox, to the fence, even the corners of the eaves on the roof, and streamers of the same color dripped from the roof as well. A large banner reading "HAPPY BIRTHDAY NINA!!" was hung from the wall and could easily be seen from the street, which had been blocked to traffic for the purposes of the party. After all, they didn't exactly have a backyard, so Prompto had commandeered as much space as he could. Where else would he put the bouncy house??? There was also a table with snacks and beverages out there, and a costumed moogle out there to greet guests and occasionally put on a little show. There was a stereo pumping out some fun, festive music into the air, and that was just the outside!

Because the door was open and there was a sign that clearly indicated there was plenty more fun inside and that everyone was welcome to come in, where they'd find more food in the kitchen and dining room, including a very ~~moddable~~ extensive Build Your Own Cupcake Bar and featuring a fruit and macaroon birthday cake as well as a more traditional one, and then, in the living room, the guests would find everything rearranged around a makeshift karaoke stage, because that's right, everyone, there is definitely going to be karaoke at this party!

And just wait until Prompto started getting everyone together for the games!

Look. He'd never really had a stereotypical backyard birthday party growing up, and he knew for a fact that Nina definitely hadn't, either, and so that was absolutely what was happening today! So grab yourself a party hat (unless you're Nina! Then you get a crown!), maybe a few noisemakers and rainbow sparklers, and get ready to have a great time!

"Nina!" Sidon was quite sure she would be quite the busy little bee today, so he knew he had to seize the moment to speak to her when he could. "My dear friend! Allow me to extend to you the most wonderous of heartfelt felicitations on this celebration of your birth! Such a marvelous day for a truly incredible young woman! I hope this day and all the ones to follow it are nothing but the most spectacular!"

"Sidon!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!" Nina beamed up and up (and up!) at him. "I'm so glad you could make it!!!!!!!!!!"

"As am I!" Sidon agreed with a bright, booming sort of laugh. "Such a rare treat, to get to visit someone else's world for a little bit rather than the reverse! It's all quite exciting, and for such a wonderful event, as well! I bet you must be simply over the moon!"

"I really am," she admitted, with a laugh of her own. "Like, I knew there was going to be a party?????????? But I didn't expect all of this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I would expect no less but the best," Sidon declared with another appreciative look around (especially at the inclusion of blue in the color scheme, shhh), "both from Prompto and for you, dear Nina! And you deserve every bit of it!"

Nina also loved the blue in the colour scheme and some of those blue balloons were definitely going to... ah... disappear into her bedroom before the party was over.

"I feel quite spoiled," she admitted, and while yesterday had given her a lot of complicated feelings, this was--this was just right. "I really don't even know how I'm going to thank everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Between the two of them, there would be no blue balloons left!

"Well, it's your birthday!" Sidon reminded her, even though, technically, that wasn't until tomorrow. But what was a day? Especially to a Zora? "If you're not being spoiled, it's being done wrong! And, of course, I cannot speak for everyone, especially since I didn't have a hand in putting any of this marvelous gathering together, but...I daresay, I can say with confidence that your brilliant smile and happiness is more than thanks enough, Nina!"

Sidon had a way of making things sound so very simple and, while part of her was still going to fret about making it equal, his clear joy at her happiness was incredibly soothing.

"I hope so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she allowed, then laughed. "Have you gotten a picture with the moogle??????????? Will you get one with me??????????"

"I have not had the occasion to do so yet!" Sidon admitted, with the brightness of someone who fully intended to, but was clearly caught in a whirlwind of other fun and important activities to attend do first and foremost, such as greeting the birthday girl and showering her with compliments and encouragement. "But I shall! And of course I'll get one with you, too, Nina! I wouldn't dream of not doing so! I do love a good picture!"

Any excuse to pump a fist and pose and provide his very own flash with the well-time glint of light off his teeth!

"I do too," she admitted. "Which is something I never realized until I got to the island!!!!!!!!!!! It's such a wonderful way to keep your memories close!!!!!!!!!"
