He really, really did, because not believing her meant that he believed she actually would lie to him, especially at a moment like this, but he just couldn't shake that bug (ugh, stop calling it a bug, Prompto!) in his brain, couldn't shake that feeling at the party that, despite all her smiles and cheer and chipperness, she was deeply unsettled, deeply bothered, deeply...unhappy and if he didn't do something now, it was only going to get worse.
