Prompto wasn't really feeling like he wanted coffee, just like he definitely jadn't wanted any of the hot cocoa that manifested on the bedside table, but, unlike the the hot cocoa, Liz had gone out of her way to get him that coffee, and he was already being such a pain in the ass to deal with right now that what was he going to do? Say no? Deny her literally anything right now?
Although he did, briefly, consider using Rain being all comfortable and sleeping in the crook of his arm as an excuse, but he couldn't. He shouldn't. He'd already made Liz worry enough....
So, with a bit of a groan, he pulled himself up, shifting Rain with an apology and a snuggle, until he was sitting up, scooting back against the headboard and giving Liz a smile.
"You're too good to me," he said, giving Rain one more very clinging nuzzle before setting her aside on his lap to free up his hands. "Coffee sounds awesome, babe. Thank you."
