"Is it bad," Prompto asked, his grin one a little lopsided with the slight bit of genuine guilt he did actually feel over what he was about to say, "that I kind of hope it is still going on so that you'll clearly have to stay here? At least a little longer?"
He was almost tempted to suggest that, hey, maybe she didn't have to go back at all, but, with everything going on right now and how busy he'd be and how he didn't even really know what would be expected of him, anyway, that seemed unfair to Liz. He just had to be patient, wait for things to settle down a little, and then he could give that the focus and attention it deserved.
"But," he said, more to the immediate point, "I've got eggs. I've got pancakes. I've got some ham and some potatoes, and some nice fancy fish for Rain. I'm sure all that catching up on sleep you're doing is really working up an appetite, right?"
