Prompto had been planning for this thing for a while and it was finally time for all his hard work to come to fruition! Nestled among dozens of other similar houses on a quiet residential street, the Argentum house was usually unremarkable, just one among many typical ~~Tokyo~~ Insomnian homes. But today? Oh, today was definitely different! There would be no mistaking which house was Prompto and Nina's! Pink, yellow, and blue balloons were tied to the mailbox, to the fence, even the corners of the eaves on the roof, and streamers of the same color dripped from the roof as well. A large banner reading "HAPPY BIRTHDAY NINA!!" was hung from the wall and could easily be seen from the street, which had been blocked to traffic for the purposes of the party. After all, they didn't exactly have a backyard, so Prompto had commandeered as much space as he could. Where else would he put the bouncy house??? There was also a table with snacks and beverages out there, and a costumed moogle out there to greet guests and occasionally put on a little show. There was a stereo pumping out some fun, festive music into the air, and that was just the outside!

Because the door was open and there was a sign that clearly indicated there was plenty more fun inside and that everyone was welcome to come in, where they'd find more food in the kitchen and dining room, including a very ~~moddable~~ extensive Build Your Own Cupcake Bar and featuring a fruit and macaroon birthday cake as well as a more traditional one, and then, in the living room, the guests would find everything rearranged around a makeshift karaoke stage, because that's right, everyone, there is definitely going to be karaoke at this party!

And just wait until Prompto started getting everyone together for the games!

Look. He'd never really had a stereotypical backyard birthday party growing up, and he knew for a fact that Nina definitely hadn't, either, and so that was absolutely what was happening today! So grab yourself a party hat (unless you're Nina! Then you get a crown!), maybe a few noisemakers and rainbow sparklers, and get ready to have a great time!

"Which one is your brother?" Clare asked, looking around.

Nina pointed him out.

"See, he's the blond one with the hair that sticks up in the back!!!!!!!!!!!"

Like a chocobo's butt. Sorry not sorry, Prompto.

"Ohhh," Clare said. "He seems very nice!" She lowered her voice. "What is the giant costumed person?" she asked. "Or is that an alien?"

"Which one??????????" Nina asked, smiling a little. "The red one???????? Or the white one????????"

"The white one," Clare said.

"That's a person wearing a costume," she said, giggling. "Moogles are, like, these super cute mythical creatures here??????????? So they're really popular!!!!!!!! I have several stuffed toys of them, even, and while they're usually at younger kid's parties, I guess Prompto thought I'd love it!!!!!!!!!!"

Which she did. She was getting so many pictures of herself with that moogle.

"Moogle is an adorable name, too," Clare said excitedly.

"Right??????" Nina gushed. "And there's, like, this whole dance you can learn and everything!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I have to learn the dance," Clare said. "Can you show me?"

Nina laughed.

"Sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she said, stepping out into a part of the street that was clear. "It's pretty simple---it goes like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Oh, that's easy," Clare said, following along. "Remind me to show you how to rock the boat to that song when we're home."

Seeing what they were doing the Moogle was going to come over too and look at them inquiringly with a bright, "Kupo!"

"I'll definitely ask," Nina promised. "Want to run through it again??????????"

And this time, with the Moogle!

"With the Moogle? Of course!" Clare said. "It's practically required."

"It would be a shame to not!!!!!!!!!!" Especially since it wasn't everyday that she got to dance with a moogle! "On the count of three then!!!!!!!!!! Everyone ready???????"

Clare clapped eagerly, so excited to dance along. Best alien planet ever.
