Prompto had been planning for this thing for a while and it was finally time for all his hard work to come to fruition! Nestled among dozens of other similar houses on a quiet residential street, the Argentum house was usually unremarkable, just one among many typical ~~Tokyo~~ Insomnian homes. But today? Oh, today was definitely different! There would be no mistaking which house was Prompto and Nina's! Pink, yellow, and blue balloons were tied to the mailbox, to the fence, even the corners of the eaves on the roof, and streamers of the same color dripped from the roof as well. A large banner reading "HAPPY BIRTHDAY NINA!!" was hung from the wall and could easily be seen from the street, which had been blocked to traffic for the purposes of the party. After all, they didn't exactly have a backyard, so Prompto had commandeered as much space as he could. Where else would he put the bouncy house??? There was also a table with snacks and beverages out there, and a costumed moogle out there to greet guests and occasionally put on a little show. There was a stereo pumping out some fun, festive music into the air, and that was just the outside!

Because the door was open and there was a sign that clearly indicated there was plenty more fun inside and that everyone was welcome to come in, where they'd find more food in the kitchen and dining room, including a very ~~moddable~~ extensive Build Your Own Cupcake Bar and featuring a fruit and macaroon birthday cake as well as a more traditional one, and then, in the living room, the guests would find everything rearranged around a makeshift karaoke stage, because that's right, everyone, there is definitely going to be karaoke at this party!

And just wait until Prompto started getting everyone together for the games!

Look. He'd never really had a stereotypical backyard birthday party growing up, and he knew for a fact that Nina definitely hadn't, either, and so that was absolutely what was happening today! So grab yourself a party hat (unless you're Nina! Then you get a crown!), maybe a few noisemakers and rainbow sparklers, and get ready to have a great time!

Seivarden didn't really know Nina, and just remembered her as the kid with a really bad taste in gloves, but Prompto was now staying at her place, and she was here mostly for him.

"This is... quite impressive."

How convenient that Prompto, bouncing around as he went about his good party host duties and just bouncing around from the fact that he was Prompto, happened to pass by just in time to catch that from Seivarden, and he couldn't help the proud grin that spread over his face to hear it.

It was for Nina, after all, and so making sure it was impressive was a pretty big deal!

"Awww, thanks!" he beamed. "And thanks for coming, too, Seivarden!" He gestured a little bit with his hands, as if introducing the new world to her. "Welcome to Insomnia! Or, well, at least a part of it. The part where I live, anyway."

So in case she ever wondered where Prompto spent his time when not in Fandom....this was it! Or, well, part of it, because, let's be honest, he spent just as much time crashing at Noct's apartment as he did his own house, but still!

"Thank you for inviting me," Seivarden said, smiling. "So this is where you spend your time when you're not in Fandom spoiling Issa?"

Prompto probably knew by now that Seivarden totally approved of that.

Prompto's grin went a little crooked at the 'accusation.' Like anyone could put a cat in front of him and expect anything less that complete and utter spoilage!

"Well," he amended, "some of the time. I'm actually in the inner city a lot more near the Citadel for work more often than not, aaaand crashihng at Noct's place because it's closer, but, yeah, this is the old Argentum Estate."

He started to feel an odd sort of self-consciousness about it creeping in, though, as he added, "It's not much, y'know, but....it's home."

And, even he had to admit to himself, it looked pretty great all decked out in party junk.

"That's the important thing, isn't it."

This coming from a Vendaai. Breq would have to admit she was getting better.

"Breq says think you for the invitation, but she won't be able to come.

"Awww," Prompto frowned for a moment, "that's too bad. She headed back home again, or just had other things to do?"

"She had to go back home."

Seivarden smiled a little. "It was an unexpected visit anyway, so I'm glad she managed to stay for as long as she did."

Prompto smiled back for Seivarden, because, yeah, he was in and out a lot this week, what with planning everything for this party and making sure everything was in order, but it didn't take a whole lot to know that Seivarden enjoyed having Breq around, and that was definitely something he could understand.

"Yeah, right?" he said. "Talk about a nice surprise! You think she'll get the chance to visit again sometime soon, or you think it'll probably be a while 'til the next one?"

"I really don't know," Seivarden replied. "I suppose it depends on how busy she will be at home. And I might go home for a visit before that happens."

"There's always that, too," Prompto agreed. "Especially if she'll be busy!"

"Although I don't expect her to give up being busy just because I visit," Seivarden said with a laugh. "It's good to be able to go back though."

"If yoo're lookin' fur somethin' tae bevvy," Cait said, sidling on up to Seivarden. "Ah got ye covered!"

Yes, the cat had brought alcohol to this party.

It took Seivarden a moment to figure out what Cait was saying, but then she grinned.

"Thank you, that's generous. What do you have?"

"Naethin' top drawer," he said apologetically. "Bein' 'at it's aw mostly fur mixin' intae things, but it gits th' job dain aw th' sam!"

"It can't be worse than what Jessica serves in her workshop," Seivarden said.

"How are you, by the way? I haven't seen you in a while."
